The My area item is always in the side menu, in the Main section, whatever your plan and even inside a team. What changes is what you see when you open it and what you can save inside it.
The plan My area needs
My area opens when your plan includes the “Personal area” feature. That is the name it has in the plan comparison, in Settings > Subscription > Change Plan. To see what each plan includes, see Plans and prices.
Your own plan is always the one that counts, even with a team selected in the dashboard:
- a member does not inherit “Personal area” from the team owner's plan;
- team permissions do not apply, because everything you do in My area is read from and saved to your account.
When you open My area, you see one of four things:
| What you see | When |
|---|---|
| Gray blocks in place of the content | The site is still reading your plan. |
| The My area title and the six tabs | Your plan includes “Personal area”. |
| The My area introduction page, without the title or the tabs | Your plan does not include “Personal area”. |
| The “Our services seem to be down” card | The site could not read your plan. The page opens by itself when the connection is back, and the Try now button reads it again right away. |
The server applies the same rule: without “Personal area” in the plan, it refuses every My area request, reads included. About the services-down card, see “Our services seem to be down” and section under maintenance.
Introduction page, when the plan does not include My area
It is the locked feature page of this area. It shows, in this order:
- a badge that says “Included in”, with the name of the cheapest plan that includes My area;
- the title “The platform is for you too.”, a paragraph and three lines with a check mark;
- the main button, which opens the monthly checkout for that plan. It says “Try”, with the number of free days, when the plan has a trial period and you have never had a paid plan, not even on a trial or as a gift. In the other cases it says “Upgrade to”, with the plan name;
- the View plans button, which opens the plan comparison in Settings > Subscription;
- a line with the monthly price of that plan and the sentence “Cancel whenever you want.” and, when the plan brings features you do not have yet, “Also includes” with up to three of them;
- an image of the My area screen with sample data, when the image is available.
If the list of plans does not load, the badge, the main button and the price line do not appear: of the two buttons, only View plans remains. To learn more, see Feature locked by your plan: what it means and Upgrade your plan and pay for your subscription.
The module each tab needs
Besides “Personal area”, each tab needs the module it uses. The table gives each module the name it has in the plan comparison. When your plan does not include that module, the tab shows the introduction page of that module under the title and the tabs of My area, and the other tabs keep working.
| Tab or page | Module it needs |
|---|---|
| Overview | None. Each card reads its own module. The card of a module your plan does not include shows up empty, and opening it shows that module's introduction page. “Temporarily unavailable” only appears when a card cannot load. |
| Workouts, the page and the execution of a workout, the free workout, History and the page of a workout session | “Workout builder” |
| Nutrition, the nutrition history and the diary of a day | “Nutrition plans” |
| Habits | “Habit tracking” |
| Progress and the pages of an assessment | “Physical assessments” |
| The health questionnaire form | “Health questionnaires” |
On a plan with “Physical assessments” and without “Health questionnaires”, the Health questionnaire tab, inside Progress, shows the questionnaire still to be filled in, and the Fill in button opens the introduction page of the health questionnaire. Detail pages, such as a workout or an assessment, do not have the tabs: on them, the introduction page appears by itself.
Frozen account: My area stops saving
When you have more active clients than your plan allows, the account is frozen. In My area you can still open every page and see what you have already logged, but the server refuses every save: saving a workout, marking a meal, creating or marking a habit, saving a check-in, an assessment or the health questionnaire, activating or deactivating a program or a meal plan, and deleting records. Substitution suggestions for a food are refused too.
Each refused save shows the amber notice “You have more active clients than your plan allows. Choose which to keep or upgrade your plan.” With your personal workspace selected, the top of the dashboard also shows an amber banner. When the plan allows at least one active client, the banner has the Choose clients button. To fix it, see You have more active clients than your plan allows.
It is your account that counts, not the team's: if the account of the owner of a team you are a member of is frozen, My area keeps saving.
Save limits per minute
The server limits how many saves your account makes per minute in each group of actions. The actions in the same row share the same counter.
| Actions | Limit per minute |
|---|---|
| Activating a training program or a meal plan | 30 |
| Saving or editing a workout session | 30 |
| Logging or editing what you ate, copying yesterday's meals, changing the name or the time of a meal of the day and writing the note of a meal | 30 |
| Asking for substitution suggestions for a food | 60 |
| Creating or editing a habit, and marking a habit or logging its value | 60 |
| Saving or editing a check-in, and discarding the photos of a check-in you did not save | 30 |
| Creating, editing or deleting an assessment | 30 |
| Saving the health questionnaire | 30 |
These have no limit of their own: deactivating the program or the meal plan, deleting a habit, a check-in, a workout session or nutrition records, and all reads. My area does not limit the number of habits you create either.
When you go over a limit, the server refuses the actions in that group until the minute ends, and the notices that show the reason say “Too many requests. Wait a moment.” Wait and repeat the action. For the other cases where the area does not open or does not save, see My area does not open, does not load or does not let you save.
Addresses and parameters
Each tab and each detail page has its own address, which you can bookmark. Addresses start with https://myfitnessclient.com/en/, where en is the code of the language you use the site in.
| Address | What it opens |
|---|---|
dashboard/personal | Overview |
dashboard/personal/workouts | Workouts |
dashboard/personal/workouts/new | The execution of an empty free workout. |
dashboard/personal/workouts/ID | The page of a workout, before you start it. |
dashboard/personal/workouts/ID/execute | The execution of that workout. |
dashboard/personal/nutrition | Nutrition |
dashboard/personal/nutrition/history | The nutrition history. |
dashboard/personal/nutrition/history/YYYY-MM-DD | The diary of that day. With an invalid date, the page says “No data”. |
dashboard/personal/habits | Habits |
dashboard/personal/progress | Progress |
dashboard/personal/progress/assessments/new | A new assessment. |
dashboard/personal/progress/assessments/ID | An assessment. With /edit at the end, the editing of that assessment. |
dashboard/personal/progress/anamnesis/fill | The health questionnaire form. |
dashboard/personal/history | History |
dashboard/personal/history/ID | A completed workout session. |
dashboard/personal/calendar | It no longer has its own page: it opens the Overview. |
ID is the identifier the site puts in the address when you open that workout, that assessment or that session.
Some pages accept a parameter at the end of the address, after a question mark:
| Page | Parameter | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| The page and the execution of a workout | scheduledDate=YYYY-MM-DD | Opens the workout for that day: the session you save is linked to that day of the program. |
| Nutrition | date=YYYY-MM-DD | Opens Nutrition on that day. It only applies when the page opens: changing the day on screen does not change the address. |
| Progress | tab=assessments or tab=anamnesis | Opens the Assessments tab or the Health questionnaire tab. The parameter leaves the address once it is applied. |
On the page of a workout and in Nutrition, a date that is not in the YYYY-MM-DD format is ignored. These do not stay in the address, and so do not stay in a bookmark: the day you navigate to in Nutrition, the filters and the search in History, and the period of the charts in Progress.
