The first time you open the app with a professional linked to your account, the Complete your profile page slides up from the bottom of the screen and welcomes you on behalf of your professional. Only the steps for details still missing from your profile appear, in the order of the step list. Each answer is saved when you select Continue, and the photo as soon as you choose it, so anything you have already entered is kept if you leave halfway through.
Before you start
- This page only exists in the app. It opens on its own once per account on each installation of the app, when you already have a professional linked to your account and at least one of the details is missing.
- For it to open, the app has to start on Home, with an internet connection and with no workout in progress. If not, it opens the next time the app starts: close the app completely and open it again.
- The welcome tour, the notification request and the automatic questionnaires only appear after you close this page.
Steps
To complete your profile the first time you open the app:
- On the Complete your profile page, which starts with “Hi” and your name, select Get started. The page says how many steps are left.
- In About you, choose your gender and type your date of birth in the day, month and year boxes. Gender is optional: choose Male, Female or Prefer not. If your profile has no gender yet, Prefer not is already selected.
- If you are between 13 and 15 years old, tick the box that confirms you have authorization from your parents or legal representative to have this account.
- Select Continue. Your date of birth and gender are saved.
- In Your height, turn the wheel to your height in centimeters and select Continue.
- In Your weight, turn the first wheel to the kilos and the second to the tenths, and select Continue.
- Optional: in Your photo, select Choose photo, pick a photo from your phone's gallery and adjust the crop. When the photo appears in the circle, select Continue.
- If Before you start appears, select Continue and allow notifications in your phone's prompt.
- In You're all set, select See my plan.
The page closes and you land on Home, with the details saved to your profile. If your health questionnaire is still to be filled in, You're all set also shows the Next step card, which opens the health questionnaire.
Skip, go back and close
- On each question, Skip moves to the next one without saving that answer. On the photo, it only appears while you have not chosen one.
- On the first page, Not now closes the page without saving anything.
- The arrow next to the progress bar goes back to the previous step. On Android, the phone's Back button does the same; on the first page and on You're all set, it closes the page.
- The X closes the page at any step. What has already been saved stays in your profile.
- Once closed, the page does not open on its own again. What is missing stays on Home.
Complete it later from Home
While your date of birth, height or weight is missing, Home shows the Complete your profile row in the To do list, with how many details your professional still needs. Select it to open the page straight at the first missing step, without the welcome page or the notification request. At the end, You're all set appears. The photo alone does not make the row appear: you can add it in Settings (Change your profile name and photo).
The notification request
The Before you start step only appears when the app's notifications are not yet allowed or denied on your phone and you have not yet answered, on this phone, the app's notification request. Continue shows your phone's own prompt: what you choose there is final and the app does not ask again. If you denied it and change your mind, see Not receiving notifications on your phone or in the browser.
With Not now, your phone does not ask anything and the app offers the request again in a sheet on Home: at most 3 times counting this one, at least 14 days apart and only when you have unread notifications. One of those times can be right after you finish a workout.
Common problems
The page did not open
The page opens only once per installation of the app and only when one of the details is missing. If, when you opened the app, you did not have a linked professional yet (for example, because you accepted the invitation with the app open), you were offline, away from Home or had a workout in progress, it opens the next time the app starts: close the app completely and open it again. If you have already seen it, use the Complete your profile row on Home. If you reinstall the app and a detail is still missing, the page opens again.
A message on the date of birth
The date is required on this step and must give an age between 13 and 100.
| Message | Why it appears |
|---|---|
| “Enter your date of birth” | The day, the month or the year, which has 4 digits, is missing. |
| “Invalid date of birth” | The date does not exist, like 31 February, is in the future or gives an age over 100. |
| “You must be at least 13 to use the app.” | The date gives an age under 13. |
| “Confirm that you have your parents’ authorisation.” | The date gives an age between 13 and 15 and the authorization box is not ticked. |
If you don't want to give the date now, select Skip. The rules for minors are in Minimum age and accounts for minors.
“Could not save.”
The server did not accept the answer. Without internet, the message is different: “No connection. Check your internet and try again.” In both cases, the step stays open with what you chose: check your connection and select Continue again. The answers from the previous steps are already saved.
The photo does not stay on your profile
“Image too large. Pick a smaller photo.” appears with a photo over 5 MB, “Invalid file.” when the app cannot read the chosen photo and “Couldn't update your photo.” when the upload fails. Choose another photo, or select Skip and add the photo later.
If none of this solved it, talk to your professional.
Questions
What are these details for?
Each step says what your professional uses the detail for: age and gender to fine-tune your training and calories, height to calculate your calories, weight to tailor your plan and the photo to recognize you in messages.
Can I change these details later?
Yes. Gender, date of birth, height and weight are changed in Settings, under My details (Update your phone, tax ID and personal details). The photo is changed in Change your profile name and photo.
