Nutrition reminders, notices and what your professional sees

For clientsWeb and appUpdated on

Nutrition notices in MyFitnessClient: when each one arrives, how to turn them off and what your professional sees when you log your meals.

This page brings together the three notices Nutrition sends you and what changes on your professional's side when you log your meals. The list of all notifications is in Client notification types: what they tell you and where they lead.

Nutrition notices

The switches for these notices are in Settings > Notifications, on the web and in the app, and they're on by default. All three notices open Nutrition.

New meal planYour professional assigns you a meal plan. It shows their name and the plan's name. If your access hasn't started yet, it arrives when your access opens.Bell; pushNew meal plans, for push only
Meal plan endedOnly once, after the plan's last day, the first time the plan is read: when you open Nutrition on the website, when the app refreshes your data (for example, when you open it) or when your professional opens your plan from 09:00 your time. It shows the plan's name.Bell; pushNew meal plans, for push only
  • Push only reaches the browser or phone where the Push switch is on.
  • With New meal plans off, the two plan notices no longer arrive by push, but they still go into the notification list.
  • The meal reminder doesn't go into the notification list: if the push doesn't reach any device, there is no record of it.
  • In the app, the Meal reminders switch is available in the latest version of the app. If you turn it on with Push off on that phone, the app asks you to turn on push notifications on that device. In any version, you can change it in Settings on the website.

If you don't get any notices, see Not receiving notifications on your phone or in the browser.

When the meal reminder arrives

  • It arrives at the meal's time on that day, within a 2-minute margin, in your account's time zone.
  • If the meal's time was changed for that day in Edit meal, by you or by your professional, it arrives at the new time. A plan meal without a time only gets a reminder if it has a time on that day. See Edit, restore or delete a meal or a whole day.
  • The title shows the time and, underneath, the meal's name on that day, or “Meal” if it has no name.
  • Only that day's plan meals get reminders, within the plan's dates. Meals you add yourself have no reminder, even with a time.
  • It doesn't arrive if the meal is already marked as eaten or if you deleted it on that day.
  • It doesn't arrive without a meal plan, without active coaching with your professional, or when Nutrition isn't part of your coaching.
  • It arrives at most once per meal per day.

What your professional sees

Your professional sees your Nutrition in your profile on their side, and the members of their team with access to you and to Nutrition see the same. Marking meals doesn't send them any notice.

What you doWhat they see or what changes
You mark meals as eaten, change foods or add mealsThey see your log for each day, just as it is in your Nutrition, and your nutrition history.
You stop marking mealsOn your plan's card, they see how many days ago you last marked a meal as eaten.
You write Your note on a mealThey read the note on that day and can reply to you in the chat. They may get a notice, at most one per hour.
On a sequential plan, you mark all the day's meals as eatenYou move on to the next day of the plan. After the last day, you go back to the first.
You mark as eaten, or delete, the last meal left todayIf your professional set up a questionnaire for when you complete your nutrition day, you receive that questionnaire, at most once a day. Meals you deleted that day don't count, and neither does a day that isn't today.
You delete a day or reset the dayThat day's records no longer exist, for them too.
You set your own daily goalThey don't see it. Your goal stays only in your Nutrition.

On your phone, Your note is available in the latest version of the app. Your professional can also mark or correct the meals of your day, and what they change shows up in your Nutrition. To delete or reset a day, see Edit, restore or delete a meal or a whole day; the plan modes are in Meal plan modes, locked plan and days without a plan.
