What you log in the app can be saved on your phone first and sent to the MyFitnessClient server later, for example when you are offline. When the server does not accept a record, the app stops trying to send it, keeps your version on your phone and shows, under the screen header, a banner with the number of records to review, for example “1 to review”. Until you resolve it, that record does not reach your professional, and anything you change later in the same record waits on your phone.
When it happens
On the screen the banner opens, under the name of each record to review, you see the reason:
| Reason on the screen | What happened |
|---|---|
| “This record changed or is no longer available on the server. Your version is still saved.” | Conflict: the same Nutrition day or the same habit changed somewhere else after you logged it (on another phone, on the website or by your professional, for example when they change the plan), or what you logged no longer exists, such as a habit that is no longer active or a dose removed from the plan. |
| “This plan only allows the foods your professional set, or the alternatives they chose.” | Refusal: your meal plan is locked and you added a food that is not part of that meal to one of the plan's meals. |
| “This plan only allows logging the meals your professional set.” | Refusal: the plan is locked and you logged a meal that is not in the plan, or changed the name or the time of a meal. |
| “The server did not accept this record. Your version is still saved on this device.” or another error message | Refusal for another reason: the server read the record and does not accept it as it is. |
The refusal reasons and the disabled button on a refusal exist in the latest version of the app. In an earlier version, every record to review shows the conflict reason.
Before you start
- Connect to the internet: while offline, Resolve and Try again are disabled. If the app says “Offline”, see The app says “Offline” or takes a long time to load.
Steps
To resolve a Nutrition day, a Supplements day or a habit to review:
- Select the banner with the number of records to review, for example “1 to review”. The Records waiting to send screen opens.
- Read the reason under the name of the record.
- If the reason is a refusal, select Open record and fix what was refused, for example swap the food for one from the plan meal. Then go back to the banner.
- On the row of the record, select Resolve. Review versions opens.
- Compare what is On this device with what is On the server.
- Select Send my version to keep what you logged, or Use server version to keep the server version.
When the server accepts your version, the record leaves the list and reaches your professional. With Use server version, it leaves the list right away. With no more records to review, the banner no longer shows “to review”.
What Review versions shows
- Nutrition: each meal logged that day, with its time if it has one, the foods, the amounts and the status (Completed, Not completed or Hidden), and the total kcal of the completed meals in each version.
- Supplements: each dose you changed, with the amount and the status (Taken, Not taken or Not logged). A dose removed from the plan appears on the server side as “No longer in the plan”. Send my version only sends the doses the day still has in the plan.
- Habits: Completed or Not completed, with the value and the notes of each version.
Workouts and check-ins to review
A workout or a check-in to review has no Resolve. Select Try again to send it again as it is, or Open record to see it. If the same reason comes back, talk to your professional.
Common problems
“Send my version” is disabled
If the sheet shows “Change the record to send it again.”, the server refused this content. Fix the record with Open record and select Resolve again; if you cannot fix it, use the server version. On a habit or a Supplements day, the button is also disabled when the server has nothing left to compare, for example a habit that is no longer active, or a Supplements day where all the doses you changed were removed from the plan. In that case the sheet shows the conflict reason and you can only use the server version.
“The data changed during review. Open it again to compare.”
The record changed on your phone or on the server while you were comparing the versions. Close the sheet and select Resolve again.
I sent my version and the record is back to review
The server refused the record again, because the fix did not remove what was refused, or the record changed somewhere else again. Read the new reason and fix the record before you send it. In an earlier version of the app, a refusal shows the conflict reason and lets you resend, which repeats the refusal: update the app.
On a locked plan, the food was refused
When the meal plan is locked, Nutrition shows “This plan is locked. Follow the meals as they are.”. Each food you add to a plan meal must be one of the foods of that meal or one of the substitutions your professional chose; the amount is up to you. It is also accepted when all the foods come from the same meal option. A food from outside the meal, or foods from different options mixed together, are refused. See Meal plan modes, locked plan and days without a plan.
If this did not solve it
Talk to your professional and send them a screenshot of Records waiting to send with the reason, the date of the record and what you were logging. On a locked plan, your professional is the one who changes the meals and the substitutions of the plan.
