Client notification types: what they tell you and where they lead

For clientsWeb and appUpdated on

The notifications you get as a client in MyFitnessClient: what triggers each one, whether it comes in the bell, by push or by email, and the screen it opens.

The tables list, by topic, the notifications you can receive from your professional and from MyFitnessClient. The Channels column says how each one arrives.

  • Bell: the notification goes into the notification list, which you open from the bell. It goes in even with push turned off, except where the table says otherwise.
  • Push: the notification on your phone or computer screen. It arrives when the Push switch is on in that browser or on that phone. The type in parentheses is the notification type that also has to be on; with no parentheses, Push is enough.
  • Email: it arrives when the Email switch is on (it only exists in Settings on the web) and so is the type in parentheses, if there is one. “Email always” means it arrives even with the switches off.

The switches are in Settings > Notifications, on the web and in the app, and they all start turned on. The Opens column says which screen opens when you select the notification, in the list or in the push notification. Notifications in the list appear in your account's current language, even the ones that arrived before you changed it; texts written by your professional or by the MyFitnessClient team stay as they were written.

Questions

I got a push notification, but it isn't in the list. Why?

Messages, calls and meal and supplement reminders only arrive by push; unread messages are counted in Chat. A habit reminder only stays in the list when the push reaches no device.

I turned off the Daily check-in reminder and stopped getting push notifications for assessment requests. Is that normal?

Yes. That type also controls the push for “Physical assessment pending” and “New physical assessment”. Both still go into the notification list.

Why don't I get a push notification for the health questionnaire request?

The health questionnaire request arrives in the bell and by email, but it has no push notification.

Why did a notification disappear from the list?

The list only shows unread notifications, and many leave on their own when you do what they ask: pay, answer the questionnaire, do the check-in, the assessment or the workout, check off the habit, fill in the health questionnaire or answer the invitation. Event, habit, check-in, questionnaire and workout reminders are deleted 72 hours after they arrive, read or not.

I don't get any push notifications. What do I do?

See Not receiving notifications on your phone or in the browser. To find where each option is, see Client settings: where to find each option.
