Overview

With online payments active, a monthly or yearly recurring plan can switch to automatic: the client subscribes once with their card and is then charged on their own. Separately, the lock on overdue limits some of the client's actions when a recurring payment is left unpaid.

Steps

  1. In Payments, or in the Payments tab of the client page, choose Switch to automatic on a recurring plan.
  2. Confirm with Create and invite. The client gets the invitation in the app and by email.
  3. Until the client subscribes, manual billing continues. Once they subscribe, it pauses on its own, with no double charge.
Only monthly or yearly plans can switch to automatic. To stop, use End subscription: it stops renewing but stays active until the end of the period already paid.

Lock on overdue

In Payments, under Lock on overdue, turn on Enable automatic lock and choose the Grace days (1 to 90). When a recurring payment goes past that, the client can no longer send check-ins, answer questionnaires, request alternatives, or buy courses. What they already have, such as workouts, the meal plan, and materials, stays open.

The lock lifts on its own once the payment is settled. One-off payments don't lock.
