How the comparisons are made

The comparisons on this site are published by MyFitnessClient, which sells one of the platforms compared and argues for it with verifiable facts. This page says which platforms are in and why, where each figure comes from, which rules the tables follow and how to ask for a correction.

By Vasco José Cardoso Correia, who operates MyFitnessClient.

Who publishes them and why

The comparisons are written and published by MyFitnessClient, which sells one of the platforms compared and has a commercial interest in you choosing it. They are not an independent review: the pages argue for MyFitnessClient, pick the criteria that matter to a trainer whose client list is growing, and say what it includes.

Arguing is not inventing. Every fact about another brand was read on one of that brand's official pages. Each comparison numbers its sources at the end, with the link and the day each one was read. In the summary, the feature tables and the questions, the source number sits next to the fact, so you can check it without having to trust whoever wrote it. What is not on an official page is not written.

The texts were prepared with the help of artificial intelligence tools and reviewed by MyFitnessClient. They are signed by Vasco José Cardoso Correia, who operates MyFitnessClient and is responsible for what is written; the full details are on the Legal information page of this site.

Which platforms are in and why

The platforms with a page of their own in English are chosen by MyFitnessClient among those sold to personal trainers in English that publish their prices: Trainerize, Everfit, TrueCoach, My PT Hub, Hevy Coach and Coachway. The pages in Portuguese add platforms sold to personal trainers in Portugal. It is not the complete list of the market, and no page says it is.

The guide adds other platforms chosen by MyFitnessClient among those that sell to personal trainers in the page's language or in euros and publish their prices on their own pages; not every platform that meets these conditions is included.

What is compared and why

The criteria are the ones that matter to a trainer whose client list is growing and who wants everything included. They are the cost by number of clients, in euros and with what each brand says about taxes, and the languages of the dashboard and of the client app. They are also meal plans and the food database, client payments, the client app in the stores and the features MyFitnessClient includes.

The feature tables show a selection of the features MyFitnessClient includes on Basic or Pro and whether each other platform advertises them; on each brand's page, the table also has criteria of its own, such as price. The full list of 26 features is only in the count table at the end of this page. No table is a complete comparison, and none says it is.

The status rule for features

Every feature of every platform has one of four statuses, by the same rule for all of them, MyFitnessClient included, with one exception: BMS's public pages do not show its plans, so in the BMS cells "Included" means its pages advertise the feature, without saying in which plan.

  • "Included": the platform's official pages advertise the feature in its first paid plan, with nothing extra to pay. A free plan is not the yardstick: it is a separate offer, and a feature the free plan lacks does not lower the status.
  • "In part": the pages advertise only part of the feature, or advertise it only on more expensive plans or as a paid add-on. In the feature tables of the comparison pages, the cell says which part and which plans; in the count table at the end of this page, the cell gives only the status and, for the other platforms, the source.
  • "Not listed": the platform's official pages, read on the date given, do not say it has the feature. It does not mean the feature does not exist; it means the pages do not advertise it.
  • "No": an official page says it does not have it, with the quote in the source, or it is MyFitnessClient that does not have it.

Where the prices and features come from

The other brands' prices and features are read on each one's official pages: the pricing page, the feature pages, the help center, the terms, the app's store listing and other texts the brand itself publishes, such as its blog articles or its llms-full.txt file. Review sites and third-party articles are not used as sources.

Every source is numbered at the end of the page, with its link and the day it was read; the pages were last reviewed on 27 October 2026.

No account, free or paid, was opened on the other platforms to make these pages. What the pages say about them is what each brand publishes.

Prices, VAT and exchange rates

The sums follow the same rules for every brand.

  • The price is the list price, billed monthly, in the currency the brand publishes it in. Annual billing discounts, promotions and codes are left out of the sums and mentioned in a note.
  • When a brand only shows an introductory price for new customers, that is the price used, labeled as introductory, with the period the brand states.
  • When a brand sells what it takes to build meal plans on the platform as an add-on, the add-on is added in the "Workouts and meal plans" scenario and the page says which one and what it costs. Other add-ons are not added, nor are add-ons and fees for client payments; each page states the payment ones.
  • Prices with meal plans are only compared against brands that sell a way to build them inside the platform. The guide's cost table leaves out brands whose pages do not advertise a built-in meal plan builder, and a note names them and says why. In the guide's table "The platforms side by side", each of those brands has only "No built-in meal plan builder advertised" in the cost column, and its entry price is in the next column. "No built-in meal plan builder advertised" does not mean the feature does not exist.
  • Prices in dollars are converted to euros at the European Central Bank reference rate shown on the page, and rounded to the euro. Some English pages also give MyFitnessClient's Basic monthly price in USD and GBP at the same rate, rounded up to the cent.
  • MyFitnessClient's prices are those of its pricing page, in euros; any VAT charged is already included. The other brands' prices appear as each one publishes them; under each brand's name is what its own pricing page says about taxes.
  • The sentences about cost are calculated from these prices. They say where MyFitnessClient costs less, and from how many clients. Where the other brand costs the same or less there is no sentence: its prices are on the same page. On each brand's page, the table shows 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 clients and the chart runs from 1 to 100, or up to the last tier the brand publishes; the guide's table shows 10, 25, 50 and 100 clients. A tie does not count as costing less. When the other brand's pricing page does not say that taxes come on top, its price may already include VAT. The calculation then treats that price as if it included 27% VAT, the highest rate in the European Union, and takes the VAT out: a price of 20 EUR counts as 15.75 EUR. The sentence only appears when MyFitnessClient's price is below that price without VAT, so it holds with or without VAT.

When they are reviewed

When MyFitnessClient learns that a price or a feature has changed, the page is corrected and its date updated. The "Updated" line on each page says when its text was last reviewed; the day each source was read is next to it in the list of sources. Other brands' prices and features are those on the day each source was read and may have changed since; check the brand's own page before you decide.

Trademarks

The names of the other platforms are trademarks of their owners, and some names of their plans and add-ons may be too. They appear as text, only to identify what is compared. The pages use no logos or screenshots of the other platforms, and MyFitnessClient is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of their owners.

The count of the 26 features

The list of 26 features was chosen by MyFitnessClient and closed on 13 October 2026, and is the same for all of them: it brings together the 20 features MyFitnessClient includes on Basic or Pro and six that other platforms advertise and MyFitnessClient does not have or has only in part. What other platforms advertise outside this list is not counted, and the count does not measure everything each platform does. Each feature is a capability, and what counts as having it is written under its name. A feature counts as included when the platform's official pages advertise it in its first paid plan, with nothing extra to pay, by the rule on this page. The count covers MyFitnessClient and the platforms by Portuguese businesses it compares, EliteTrainer, UpCoach and BMS, each identified as a Portuguese company in its own terms1, 2, 3; UpCoach has no page of its own on this site and appears only in this count. BMS's public pages do not show its subscription plans or prices: in the BMS cells, "Included" means its pages advertise the feature, without saying in which plan. The first paid plan is Basic for MyFitnessClient, at €29.99 per month (any VAT charged is included), with unlimited active clients; ElitePRO for EliteTrainer, at 33 EUR per month, with unlimited clients; and MINI for UpCoach, at 7 EUR per month, up to 5 clients. EliteTrainer's and UpCoach's pricing pages, read on 18 and 15 October 2026, do not say whether the prices include VAT. This table is the proof of the sentence "In a list of 26 features chosen by MyFitnessClient, MyFitnessClient is, of the platforms by Portuguese businesses compared, the one that includes the most of them in its first paid plan, according to each platform's official pages: 19 of the 26". Every cell about another platform has the source it was read on.
